October 17, 2018: Locals say, “yes.” Many years ago, a visitor hiked the hill on Oct 31 where the Hollywood sign sits and climbed to the top of the “H” and jumped — and every year around October 31st — sometimes during late night or early am — the H disappears from sight for a few quick seconds! Trick or not — who really knows?
