American’s don’t know geography, and can’t find Oakland on a map. So the airport may be renamed San Francisco. And the idea is to… reduce confusion? I suspect it may be the opposite: confuse people into booking travel to Oakland instead of San Francisco. Oakland believes they have a right to the change because the airport is on the San Francisco Bay, while SFO is planning to fight this in court if it goes through. Who’s in the right?
