February 18, 2016: Southwest is planning to add Long Beach to the list of airports it serves in southern California — and with the LGB addition, will now serve all five major passenger airports in the greater southern California area. Rumors continue to circulate highlighting further Southwest service expansion internationally — maybe Mexico and the Caribbean — as well as service from the west coast to Hawaii. Virgin is adding Hawaii service from both Los Angeles and San Francisco — so, just maybe, overly inflated airfares to the islands will drop some? MAHALO
