Good Idea? Yes!
What’s special about Finland and Denmark?
JetBlue takes off to second European Destination?
Free Phone and Internet coming on-board US airlines?
Ontario Airport (California) opens gate areas to all??
Yup, with a pilot program that has TSA blessings non-travel visitors will be able to meet travelers at arrival gates or go with travelers after check-in as they go through security to a departure gate. Visitors will still need to check-in with the airline and be issued a visitors pass to use at TSA check points as they enter and exit a gate area. Part of the “thinking” is these visitors will spend money at airport shops, restaurants, and bars to help increase concession revenue. We’ll see how long this idea flies!!!

Amazon buying Hawaii??
Well kind of — Amazon is buying a “stake” in Hawaiian Air to use cargo space to ship customer purchases. Not just to Hawaii but numerous airports in the US too. Wonder if they eventually just purchase the entire airline to add to their distribution network capabilities? They are moving to be more in control of their own “total” distribution network. ALOHA —Amazon watchers say it makes sense!!!
