The TSA, which has a hard enough time finding guns and scissors, has a new distraction from its primary mission. They’re now the transportation mask police as a result of taking existing mask rules and making non-compliance a federal offense.

The Transportation Security Administration has announced its new fines for mask non-compliance: first offenses are $250, and fines range up to $1500 for repeated non-compliance. Mask enforcement, separate from new airline exemptions.  (Thanks Points Guy for passing this on)

Airline pilots are making mistakes because they have become rusty because of the lack of flying time during the coronavirus pandemic.Dozens of pilots have told NASA’s Aviation Safety Reporting System that they have made errors since getting back into the cockpit. The CDC accepts antigen tests, and results can be provided in less than 30 minutes. If we want everyone tested for travel (or for any other activity) we need to make testing convenient and inexpensive. If you’re going to fly, show up at the airport, get tested, and go. THIS MAKES GOOD SENSE AND WILL EXPEDITE TRAVEL!!!!

The CEO of Delta Air Lines has announced that the carrier will permanently ban passengers who disrespect fellow customers or crew. CEO Ed Bastian laid down the law in a memo sent to employees, and shared with Fox News. The executive revealed that the airline has already added over 800 people to its no-fly list for refusing to wear mandatory face masks during travel, along with news of the company’s latest policy.

… to have COVID vaccines to insure passenger and fellow employee health safety? It looks that way — would be a massive undertaking “worldwide” but would help build travel and workplace confidence with travelers — and employees … expect implementation sometimes in March!!!

Maybe — the airline has notified 14,000 employees not to be surprised — when government pay check protection dollars run out in April — and American may not be far behind with employee layoff notification about the same time!!!
