December 2, 2016: The UAE’s — and one of the world’s largest and most modern air carriers — will soon run only 2 aircraft models — Boeing 777’s and the uncomfortable A380  — the world’s largest jetliner that can accommodate over 500 travelers! The airline still has more than US $112 billion on its order book for future delivery of both models. The airline, based in Dubai, in the next few months will be the world’s largest airline and Dubai the world’s number 1 international travel hub.

December 1, 2016: Spice shopping in Dubai is an adventure as you wander through crowded narrow ally way like small streets and paths  — featuring hundreds of small markets with spice selections from all over the world.

November 30, 2016: The Dubai Metro, above- and below-ground high speed rapid transit system, is so efficient — and clean — that it doesn’t stay in one place long enough for a picture. So, we give you a Lego model of the Metro front end and an empty track showing how fast it travels — fully automated, clean inside and stations, and very user friendly!

November 28, 2016: Found on display in a Lego store in Dubai — a collectors item Lego Ferrari — over 20,000 pieces. This will keep the gang busy for a couple of hours!

November 25, 2016: Looking like a rocket heading to outer space, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, towers above earth as the worlds tallest building.

November 23, 2016: Although its hard to find many camels inside the Dubai city limits anymore, you can find a store in the Mall of Dubai (worlds largest indoor shopping mall) that features everything camel.  

November 21, 2016: BURJ KHALIFA, defines the Dubai skyline to the world. The world’s highest observation deck, at 148 floors (and that’s not even the top), is reached on the world’s longest travel distance elevators. The building includes offices, a very upscale and expensive Armani Hotel, residence living — one residence takes up and entire floor — restaurants and a night club.  Below the Burj Khalifa, sits the world’s largest shopping mall with over 1000 stores.

November 18, 2016: Yes, a private airport lounge for travelers who can’t give up smoking. And, the folks at Camel seem to have found a way to add some color to their special smoking hideaway!

November 17, 2016: It seems the folks in Europe have figured out how to build proper “passenger friendly” airports.  Like Frankfurt — with plenty of easy shopping, restaurants, places to enjoy German beer and wide walkways. But thankfully Trump is going to make our airports great again! We haven’t seen a timeline yet, but have to assume it will be within the next four years.
