Carriers prepare as travel demand is up up up — BUT so are flight cancelations. Staff shortages — both on the ground and in the air — high fuel prices and maybe some aviation fuel “availability” issues at airports, and unforeseen weather issues. Already this year the rate of flight cancelations is six times what airlines planned for … no quick fix on the horizon — not sure the airlines or travelers can see the horizon at this point???
