May 18, 2016: Get ready — it’s 7:45 pm at SFO International Departures and the “travel storm of people” is about to hit. In the next few hours thousands of people will make their way down this corridor to board more than 3 dozen flights to just about every corner of the world. The multi-level “passenger runway” accommodates 2 big jets in each gate holding area and you can see just about every model of wide body passenger aircraft flown —— from the new double deck A380 to the workhouse 747-400. Lots of food and beverage choices and plenty of sitting room too relax prior to boarding. Hats off to SFO for building a “user friendly” international departure terminal — one of the most efficient in the US!
