TC Special: OH MY MAMMA — MIA?
September 10, 2016: Hi All: I’m the Travel Curmudgeon’s youngest grand daughter checking in from London and the play I saw and am going to tell you about is Mamma Mia. Mamma Mia is the best play you can see. It is Big, it is bold, It is beautiful. It’s fun for everyone. The theater was so high it looked like it was touching the sky. My favorite part was when one of the dancers did a Russian dance — where he jumps up, opens his legs, and touches his feet while still in the air. The music is really exciting too and makes you want to jump up and dance. I liked Mamma Mia so much I wanted to see it again the next day but the Curmudgeon said, “No!” If you come to London see Mamma Mia — it is the best show you will ever see!!!

LA Fleet Week
September 7, 2016: The LA Waterfront in San Pedro, CA has been a growing tourist attraction over the last few years, and this last weekend it became the home of Los Angeles’ first annual Fleet Week. A tradition for US service members since the 1930s, Fleet Week gives Sailors and Marines an opportunity to visit cities around the country while meeting and showing off their ships to the public. The next Fleet Week will be held October 3-10 in San Francisco, with an air show, ship tours and more! It’s a great day trip for, parents and children alike.
