Alaska Airlines, the Curmudgeon’s top choice when it comes to customer service, continues to impress, inviting their OneWorld members to their first Flyer’s Forum — an online event bringing Alaska executives and customers together for company updates, new member benefits and a Q&A session. The rest of the airlines should take notes!

NOW — there’s still some good prices but you have to move fast — call your airline in the evenings — and for best prices -for even longer lead travel plans (like next year) late Sunday evenings (after midnight) is best — that’s when airlines currently offer the best prices!!! 

Some US airports have started charging YOU to charge up your electronic devices or phones at many US airports. Can be as much as $10 a device or phone for each charge up. Just another way for airports to generate revenue with airline schedule cutbacks — water in restrooms and drinking fountains still FREE — but for how much longer???

Yup — as an example, enjoy a beer and expect to shell out $28 OR MORE …. and that’s without tax and additional airport fees!!! Look for food and beverage prices to be even higher as airlines cut back service in the fall!!!!!

Quiet trails and magnificent scenery … some trails even “above the clouds” at over 7500 feet … trails are we’ll marked and include lakeside visits and a dip if you like —bathing attire optional!!!

Check out a new meal delivery service from WONDER, a new meal delivery service from celebrity chefs (like Bobby Fay and Jonathan Waxman and others). They say the food doesn’t arrive “soggy or cold” like other meal delivery services — that’s because the meals, partially cooked in a central kitchen, get finished off at your curb with high tech cooking equipment, placed inside a new purple and grey Mercedes van. Cost should not matter as “you’d be the talk” of the neighborhood and new friends and  neighbors lined up to sample your leftovers???

to give both passengers and luggage more time for plane change connections. Seems like a very good idea to keep both passengers and luggage moving so both arrive at the same destination at the same time!!!

YUP — the airline is asking 300 executive staff members to help out with airport and ground service assignments — as workers help current short-staffed crews keep both the airline running and baggage moving — seems like a good move to help support ongoing work force shortages … maybe other airlines should take note???

Yup — the cannabis industry is looking to attract more traffic to retail locations and educational “experiences” like visiting product retail “tasting rooms.” California’s Mendocino County (part of the well-known Emerald Triangle) has started to promote the industry as part of area travel packages —check out the Bohemian Chemist for a visit as well as the areas popular outdoor recreation!!!

That would be Weeki Wachee Springs State Park on Florida’s Gulf Cost — been running — both on top and underwater — since 1947 … and NO FEEDING the Mermaids allowed!!!
