Yup, US airlines canceled or had to delay over 10,000 flights the first weekend of April — weather, computer, mechanical issues, crew and ground staff shortages, and whatever else could happen did. Hard to tell if things will improve much as spring and summer travel continues to pick up — pack lots of PATIENCE!!!

Yup, don’t be surprised if you wait on hold over SEVEN HOURS to get through to Delta — whatever the issues — seems they can’t fix them. Most recent phone system melt-down was the first weekend of April. Try this number if you’re within 48 hours of your Delta flight and need immediate help:  1-855-548-2505!!!

Yup — most airlines admit they don’t clean aircraft window seat areas as well as aisle and middle seats — they say “window seat cleaning takes longer and harder to get to.” Give up the view in favor of a cleaner seat and surrounding area!!! Your choice!

Yup — hotel owners in Thailand are threatening to sue guests who post negative reviews on their stays.  Interesting method to establish 5-star status and eliminate “any and all” negative guest comments???

Your expected meal delivery may be canceled an hour or more after you order — not by the restaurant but by Door Dash! Over-booking with a driver shortage has made for some unhappy users. BE AWARE!!!

YUP — the number of new credit cards issued last year hit an all-time high — over 20 million — with more than 196 MILLION Americans now with credit cards —WOW!!

YUP! Especially if the blanket IS NOT in a sealed presentation. If the blanket is freely lose, it might have been hit by COVID cleaning spray that is used throughout the plane after a flight, but it certainly hasn’t been cleaned properly. If you must travel with a blanket, bring your own!!!

That’s the plan. Low-cost, low-service Frontier and Spirit are now looking for government approvals to merge into one, with Spirit becoming part of Frontier. We’ll see how that flies.
