The iconic structure — some say eye sore — located off HWY 280 in northern California’s “very upscale” Hillsborough may finally get the “ok” to stay after numerous years of lawsuits back and forth with the city. The colorfully shaped house (yes it is a home with people living inside) pays “elaborate homage” to the still popular Flintstone family featuring a collection of stone-age sculptures inspired by the 1060’s cartoon — many in Hillsborough still call it an “eyesore” …passing drivers call it “just fun!”

Yup, Carnival Corp — the world’s largest cruise line operator — says losses for just the first quarter of this year will add another $2 BILLION to their COVID shutdown expenses. The good news is bookings are running ahead of pre-Covid “good times!”
Federal Government $$$ for US Airport Bailouts????
Yup — after generously giving US Air Carriers BILLIONS of dollars to keep operating during COVID the past several months — the Feds now need to help 200 plus airports around the country with an $8 BILLION bailout — dollars have already been allocated — now airports are racing to get their share!!!!
TSA Looking for Help!
Yup, the TSA is looking to hire more than 6,000 new employees in the coming months – with over 200 US airports currently understaffed. New hires could be offered as much as a $1000 bonus for signing up to help manage the “overly unexpected” surge in US travel – and TSA is being very generous with overtime incentives!! TSA is currently telling travelers to get to the airport 3 hours early for security screening — travelers need to pack extra patience!!
Shortages at Airport Starbucks?
Yes — Starbucks is “struggling” both at airports and worldwide ground locations with product shortages — especially iced green tea lemonade — it seems to be everyone’s favorite beverage of choice these days!!!
EU Looking to SLOWLY Open for US Travelers?
Maybe in the coming weeks — the 27 member European Union is “slowly” looking to welcome back vaccinated US travelers in the coming weeks after the COVID lockdown was responsible for a $400 BILLION HIT to inbound travel revenue from the US. There’s still a few “hot spots” … know the requirements for visiting a specific country — they vary!!
Looks like travel to Canada may be OK?
Look for travel restrictions from the US into Canada maybe “lifted” by mid-July — for vaccinated travelers— Aye-Hey! That’s good news!!!
AMERICAN WAY flies away???
American Airlines will discontinue its inflight magazine — “AMERICAN WAY” this summer after more the 50 years of publication —- they say they will provide more electronic options to travelers through their inflight entertainment systems. No doubt other carriers will be making similar moves with their inflight pubs … sorry to see the airlines “dispatch” these once popular onboard reading treats!!!!
